The coaches get paid to determine who is over performing and who is under performing. They’ve been doing this their whole lives, and are in the room with the wrestlers.

This also isn’t football... we don’t have 5 backups for every single position with 85 (I think) scholarships.

Win percent is about as useful as completion percentage in football. You’ve got a 70% completion rate? That’s nice, now throw the ball more than 3 yards past the line of scrimmage and tell me where that % is. If you’re consistently going against the top guys in the country, your win percent is going to be lower.

You’re also calling out a 62% for BC when he’s only wrestled 8 matches. That’s what we in the math world call “a pretty god awful sample size”.

Who would you like to take Hughes’ place? Smelt we had shown that _right now_ he is better prepared to wrestle as a starter than Howard.

Do you want me to poke any more holes in your statements, or are you done here? It seems like you have zero faith in our coaches abilities to determine who is best to start and who needs to wrestle in other tournaments.

Also, Jake Hart is listed as 149, and unless you’ve got a quality backup ready to go, you don’t send someone who isn’t ready to the CKLV. Wrestling is just as much a mental game as anything, and if they get crushed, that could negatively affect their confidence. Lastly, if coaches say BC needed a mental break, then I’m sure he needs it. These kids are under an enormous amount of pressure to perform, not to mention they’ve got finals and who knows what going on in their personal lives.
